Lacing up for March of Dimes…
2010 marks the 8th year Pioneer Title Company has been active with the March of Dimes. If you’re not familiar with the MOD, their mission is to:
…improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies’ lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.*
Since 2003, we’ve raised over $18,000 to help out the March of Dimes in their mission to improve the lives of thousands of families in Idaho and beyond. This year will be no exception! Helping our Heroes

HeroCare, Inc. is a national non-profit dedicated to honoring and serving the true heroes of our community. We define a hero as anyone who is actively employed in or retired from one of the following fields:
- Medical
- First responders: law enforcement, fire fighters, and paramedics
- Education
- Military
- Government
- 501(c)(3) non-profits
Considering the importance of the life-saving and life-enhancing skills our community Heroes provide, they all deserve our respect and appreciation, as well as the potential to achieve “The American Dream” of homeownership and financial security.
HeroCare strives to improve our heroes’ lives through education, guidance and in some cases – service discounts. The majority of our benefits are focused on improving the financial aspects of our heroes’ lives. Whether we can save our heroes a few hundred dollars a month on their general expenses or help them navigate through major life purchases, we know that the more secure they are in their finances, the more they will enjoy other aspects of their lives.
With a focused effort to support our local hero community, Pioneer Title Company is currently working towards growing the Herophilanthropy Fund. The Herophilanthropy Fund will benefit our community heroes via grant opportunities. Heroes will be able to apply for a grant to support a local cause or charitable event. Whether it’s a teacher needing support for school supplies or a fire department looking to recognize a fire fighter who exemplifies ‘going beyond’ in the call of duty, this fund is for the Hero by the Hero.
For more information on how you can participate, visit HeroCare at http://www.herocare.org/ or contact the Greater Boise Metro HeroCare Program Director, Tasha Stout at 208.3887.7415. For information on the Herophilanthropy Fund, please contact Alicia Reinhard at 208.890.7869.
